Tax compliance, bookkeeping, and advisory for businesses that outgrew spreadsheets.
Services
01
Tax preparation & planning
Corporate and personal returns with mid-year estimates so withholding and instalments match reality. We review the prior year return on engagement so we are not perpetuating prior errors. Planning memos are issued after each return explaining positions taken and opportunities to consider before the next filing.
02
Bookkeeping & close
Monthly reconciliation, categorisation rules, and a close checklist you can audit at any time. We deliver draft financials by the 10th and final by the 15th — if we miss that, you hear from us proactively, not the other way around. Chart of account changes are documented and explained before they appear.
03
Payroll support
Coordination with your payroll provider and quarterly payroll tax filings submitted on schedule with copies retained in your file. We review payroll setup when we onboard to catch misclassification, incorrect rates, and missing elections before they compound. Year-end W-2 and 1099 reconciliation is included in the annual engagement.
04
Advisory & forecasting
Simple cash-flow models and scenario notes for hiring, equipment, and expansion decisions explained without financial jargon. We flag significant tax events before they occur — not after the transaction closes. Advisory opinions are documented in writing so you have a record for your bank or board.
How the work moves
A written sequence from first brief to handoff — the same rail on every engagement.
01 · Discovery
Prior returns, chart of accounts, and pain points — usually one working session of ninety minutes.
02 · Clean-up & cadence
Historical catch-up if needed, then a monthly rhythm with fixed deliverable dates agreed in writing.
03 · Year-round review
Quarterly check-ins outside tax season so nothing waits until March to be addressed.

Questions before the work starts
Which software do you support?
QuickBooks Online, Xero, and most major desktop packages. We document all workflows in your system so you are not dependent on us for access to your own books. If a software migration makes sense, we scope it as a separate project with fixed cost.
Can you represent us in an audit?
Yes. We prepare schedules, attend initial meetings, and coordinate with counsel if the matter escalates to dispute. Clients under examination receive a dedicated contact who manages all correspondence with the taxing authority on your behalf.
Do you work with multi-state businesses?
Yes — nexus review and apportionment are scoped and documented up front so filings reflect where you actually operate. We review nexus annually as operations expand because thresholds and rules vary and change.
What size company do you typically work with?
Primarily businesses with $500k to $20M in annual revenue. Below that we refer to solo practitioners who are a better cost fit; above that we work with the CFO layer rather than replacing it.
